Liana's Story...
A love stemed from a chance...
​
Willow and Wisteria Flowers is a studio based florist in the Falkirk area that grew from hard work, dedication and a love for the job. Willow and Wisteria started in my parents back garden in a shed that was bought to house all my floral antics as a side job whilst I worked in a garden centre. After months of working in my beloved shed I decided to take a chance and a leap of faith and I opened the doors to my very own shop in Laurieston. I was buzzing with excitement and could not wait to take on the challenge of being an independent business woman. I was working every hour possible, days with no sleep at our busy times. I started to build a wonderful customer base with the locals, customers from far and wide as well as a sea of newly engaged couples that were putting their flowery needs in my hands for their big day. I was living the best florist life.
We began to grow and expand very quickly in our Laurieston shop with flower classes, staff members, business contracts and our wedding list was growing year to year so we thought it was time to get a bigger space to work and so that brings us to our move to our Falkirk shop. 3 years ago we expanded to this wonderful shop where we ran floristry classes all year round as well as birthday parties, hen do's, Christmas fayres, Santa's Grotto and a playgroup. As Willow and Wisteroa was growing arms and legs I started to feel like the reason I loved the job all these years was becoming too distant... the flowering part.
And so in January 2025 I took yet another leap of faith and it was with a heavy heart I shut the shop doors to Willow and Wisteria Flowers (after much thought and deliberation) and began the next adventure as a Studio Florist.
I now work from my home studio creating flowers for weddings and funerals only. I am so excited about this change and I cannot wait to focus solely on the part of my job that I love.
My flower journey so far has been a crazy whirlwind but I wouldn't change a single thing. Its been the most fun-filled, amazing, slightly tiring learning curve in my life and I cant wait to see the adventures that have still yet to come...
